going LOCAL! Needs Your Help to Help WPSU Public TV

04.16.09

I’ve just been given a great opportunity to serve our community and help the cause of public broadcasting, while at the same time spreading the word about my books! WPSU needs a group to be on-air phone volunteers during a special campaign to raise funds for their broadcasting. It seems contributions were down this spring and we need to help them! In return, they will plug the group on-air and via their website. This is chance to get going LOCAL! some air time and maybe plug the two upcoming books. But, I can't do it alone.

Please, please, please consider coming onboard to help. You’ll be doing a good deed for my book AND our community – great combo! Go the link below, download the file to read what it’s all about it, them email me asap to let me know you’re in. They need to know soon. I need only eight of you.

Thank you & keep going LOCAL!

Would you like an opportunity to promote your company or organization-

  • Without cost
  • While serving a community resource
  • In a fun, fascinating, team-building way

If you can provide 8-9 volunteers for two to three hours or more one evening or afternoon to answer phones for WPSU during a live pledge drive, we can provide:

  • Easy training through ten minute video
  • Your company acknowledged and thanked live on-air
  • Food, refreshments and snacks
  • Team-building opportunity through community service work
  • Behind the scenes look at broadcasting

Each year WPSU TV/FM holds multiple fundraising/membership campaigns. During these pledge drives, we feature live programming with local organization or business provided phone volunteers to record incoming calls. (Forms provided)

The majority of our programming budget comes from membership support so pledge times are an important time for WPSU, local public broadcasting.

Please call or email for more information about how your business or organization can help, or to schedule your group. If you email me, I can put you on a list to receive all opportunities as they arise. I look forward to hearing from you, thank you.
